This book offers an overview of common household pests and how to deal with them - without using chemical pesticides. It's especially useful for anyone with little children or pets living under the same roof.

This book is a thorough explanation of how to prevent (and get rid of if needed) common pests - everything from roaches to mice to silverfish to ticks to fleas to houseflies to wasps... I like the variety of practical ideas that don't involve dangerous chemicals. Most of them are easy and only require stuff I already have on hand at home. It is a great reference book that is well organized. It is easy to find just the pages with information on your specific pest problem. My only complaint is that the information often gave me the creepy-crawlies. Bernice Lifton goes into detail about characteristics of pests and diseases they may carry. She tells stories about the dangers of pesticides and gives statistics. It can be a bit stressful reading about all the diseases you can get from a mosquito bite!
