Review # 1 was written on 2015-05-07 00:00:00 Jeremiah Southworth This is a fascinating book because not only does it have great facts and pictures but it also has a tab to "pop up" open up on every page. The reader is initially able to read a lot of the information on the reptiles but are able to "uncover" the most interesting facts yet, when they open the flaps. This keeps learning about reptiles interesting because the students are physically "searching/digging" for additional information. The more unique traits a book can have, the more intriguing it is for the reader. Our love for pop-up books starts as infants and the interest seems to never diminish. Even as older readers, they question what is underneath the pop up picture. There are also some hands on activities to do under the pop up's. One activity is, "Make a snake" and it lists the ingredients to use. Once the mixture is formed into a snake and dries the kids can paint them as well.

Review # 2 was written on 2009-07-20 00:00:00 Saddek Alshabbi This was a great book to read with my preschoolers. The numbers go up to 12 with great photography.
