Few weeks back, I finished watching the latest season of the Netflix show 'The Crown.' In this season they showed the life of Princess Diana and the making of it was so beautiful that I fell in love with the whole thing. I got a bit obsessed to know more about her and I actually watched several documentaries on YouTube, too! I was going through a readers block for a while. So I just grab this book as it seemed pretty interesting and would help me to get back into reading. And it actually did! I enjoyed the read very much. I don't know how much biasness 'The Crown' or this book has shown regarding Princess Diana, but I definitely can understand why she used to be addressed as 'The People's Princess.' People used to admire her not just because of her beauty but also because of her being a great human being. Prince Charles and Princess Diana's marriage was a disaster from the very beginning and it was really awful how they were forced be in an unwanted relationship for so long! Well, two people with such age gap and with so different mindsets are supposed to suffer together. However, with all these struggles, the way she carried on her charity works and comforting people who are in distress was really praiseworthy. I liked the book. It's simple and well written. And best thing is, it has many pictures of the Princess and no one can deny that she was GORGEOUS! The early demise of her was totally distressing.

The short biography has many facts, quotations, and photographs of Princess Diana. Having just past the 20th year since her death in a horrific automobile crash on August 31, 1997, younger persons who may not know of Princess Diana and all the excellent work she did in addition to making the world aware that AIDS was not contagious and patients with AIDS/HIV should be welcomed into one's life even if only for a short while. I have always liked DK Publishing and the books this company publishes. This biography of Princess Diana by Joanne Mattern is "A Photographic Story of a Life." This book is a great way to be introduced to the life and work of Princess Diana, the mother of Prince William & Prince Harry of the British Royal Family.
