Review # 2 was written on 2010-07-08 00:00:00 Bruce Mcdowell Beetle checked this out from her scool library this week. It is a rather surprising book for her to have checked out. I'll have to ask her about that. Anyhow, here it is on the coffee table. I picked it up to check it out and ended up reading the whole thing. Frankly, I think it's a pretty good book. It explains each part of the game of basketball with straightforward text and photographs. True, I know how to play the game, but I think someone who is trying to learn the game can follow this pretty easily. This is the type of book I would have read in elementary school. Interestingly, the reading level is two grade levels above Beetle's assigned grade. She is a good reader so I know this isn't a stretch for her. My little girl is going to play hoops and earn millions so I can retire early. :)
