Review # 1 was written on 2017-10-25 00:00:00 Leesa Ayers What a wonderful book this was! It's packed with useful information and lovely illustrations (although a few do seem to repeat themselves). I do wish a bit more about myths and legends would have been explored, as it seemed to skim over that chapter quite in a rush. Other than that, I enjoyed every chapter, but do wonder a bit if all the information is still accurate, as the book was first published in 2001 and all the sources at the end seemed to be older than the 2000s. For a more thorough understanding of ancient Egypt, I recommend reading this together with An Illustrated Introduction to Ancient Egypt (for information about the daily lives of all classes of people) and Ramesses The Great: Warrior And Builder (to dwell more on the divine aspect of royalty).

Que funcionalidades tinham certos edifícios e onde se localizavam? Quais eram os ritos de mumificação e como eram honrados os sepultados? Onde se localizavam os túmulos dos faraós e como e que eram construídos, de que forma eram protegidos e como e que se tornaram uma infra-estrutura tão importante para a sociedade egípcia.
