Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-26 00:00:00 Sandra Noble I bought this book because my sister has been diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis and the doctor has prescribed several medications to treat this condition. Since beginning treatment, for a disease she was not suffering any noticeable effects from, her overall health has deteriorated... From Shingles (lower the dose of Prednisone) to a full body rash (stop the arthritis medication, give a steroid injection and increase the prednisone again to lower the inflammation in her body). Enough is enough! This is no quality of life. I believe in the power of God to heal. I also believe there are steps we need to take as the body of Christ and the temple of the Holy Spirit, to take care of our bodies through proper diet and exercise. So, why only a 3-star rating? The title is The Bible Cure for Arthritis. While it does discuss a biblical diet, this book dives deep into vitamins and supplements... In mega doses. I cannot by any stretch of the imagination call these recommendations a "Bible Cure". Apparently, the recommended supplements are conveniently available from the author. I did get some good tips on diet and have ordered a book of recipes so we can change our diet to better support my sister's health and healing. The scriptures, prayers and end of chapter checklists are also useful. This book is a quick read with some helpful information.
