Review # 1 was written on 2014-03-23 00:00:00 Francisco Guerra "Whales and Dolphins" is a great informational text for grades 3-5. This book has a lot of facts regarding whales, dolphins, and comparisons between the two. The book is organized well, with different headings over each set of text. This will allow students to better organize the information while reading. All of the facts are worded in an interesting way, which will keep readers engaged in the text. I would use this book and others like it during an animals unit in which students had to write about a certain animal. Students could use this as a resource for their writing on the animal they chose. This book could also be used by students for projects and activities in class. Common Core places a large emphasis on Informational Texts. This text and others similar to it could be used to meet many of the core standards regarding informational texts.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-02-10 00:00:00 Victor Cherdsuriya This book gives information about whales and dolphins. It even gives definitions to many of the words used such as mammal. The illustrations are actual pictures, and so beautiful. I loved learning more about these animals. A must have for my classroom.
