It also has modern day terms that teens and kids would use. Relevance/Relationship: Not only is it up-to-date, but the many pictures would definitely make looking up words more fun. Purpose: To offer yet another source to the students that may help to broaden their knowledge of vocabulary. Validity: American Heritage has been popular for years- for good reason. Format: Print Arrangement/Presentation: Every term is, of course, alphabetized but this version also has many visual representations as well. Review # 2 was written on 2012-04-11 00:00:00 Gerald Huntley Lots of great stories about the place. I'm a fan of the Beats, and it had a good section on Burroughs. I hadn't realized just how popular it was for writers and artists.
