Review # 1 was written on 2019-04-17 00:00:00 David Fabela I really enjoyed this book, it wasn't what I had expected especially with the turn on things at the end. It didn't really agree with my views of 'women should be able to do what they like and work while their men are away-typical housewife' but I was glad to see that at the end she wasn't a typical housewife and my views were in the book. Great book, would really recommend

Review # 2 was written on 2017-03-02 00:00:00 Norman Singleton A really good historical saga, although the families in it drove me crazy on behalf of the main character and I wanted to slap her husband. However it was all true to the era it is written in especially how men reacted when they came back to find their wives had become independent without them and were no longer willing to stay at home in the kitchen.
