Review # 1 was written on 2012-01-22 00:00:00 Rafael Durant This is a great book that would suit ks1 children when learning about the food chain in science. It shows the journey of who is hunted, who eats and who gets eaten in the animal food chain for example' Spider eats Cricket, Lizard eats Spider, Owl eats Lizard..'. This is a good book because it links back to humans eating so it makes it relevant to children. There is a list of useful words with clear explanations so that the children can look up the meaning of any unfamiliar words which is nice. The illustrations are fantastic, very bright and colourful which is attractive and it allows room for lots of discussion. I would recommend this book as a way of introducing a lesson on the food chain.
