Review # 1 was written on 2019-06-22 00:00:00 Mark Flavin A comprehensive overview of Goffman's work which probably is not intended for a novice such as myself. It pointed me in the right direction as to which of his works I might find interesting in the future. It also connected Goffman's work to relevant fields of study and other sociologists who built off of or contributed to his work. It was certainly challenging to parse Goffman's lifetime of work replete with complex concepts and unique vocabulary once it had been distilled to this degree.
