| Review # 1 was written on 2009-03-30 00:00:00 Warren Harris I love a good Scottish romance, and this one did not disappoint. It had witches, legends, battles, romance, true love, etc. With its somewhat Romeo/Juliet theme, this novel shows what happens when blood feuds go too far. My heart completely aches for both Caroline (poorly treated by her insensitive brother Ridley) and Robert (a man trying to make peace and wanting to trust). How can their love survive when their families are determined to keep the feud brewing? |
| Review # 2 was written on 2010-12-18 00:00:00 Marlin Robinson Granted this is the first book in the Brides of the Bloodstone trilogy but so far not as entertaining as the MacDonell Brides trilogy. This story didn't "suck me in" like the MacDonell Brides and I found myself having a difficult time staying focused during parts of the story but it was still a decent read. Plot = B- Romance = B Sensuality = B BOOK = B |
