Review # 1 was written on 2008-10-14 00:00:00 Nicholas Kosin A clear, simple guide to preparing and feeding baby. Right now I'm keeping it simple and sticking to the first, basic purees, but I think her recipes for toddlers would be worth trying too. I made some carrot-apple puree for my son, froze it in ice cube trays, and pull out individual cubes from a baggy in the freezer. He loves it. My little girl and husband are big fans of the applesauce (first fruit puree) too. It feels really good to prepare my son's food from scratch and plan ahead--it's a sort of calming ritual. Now to make this satisfying ritual a habit...might need another book about time management for that. |
Review # 2 was written on 2008-11-15 00:00:00 Weston Jill I would recommend this book to any parent that wants to cook homemade nutritious food for their baby up to five year old. I made most of my own baby food by using this book and now my son is 1 1/2 and not picky about food at all. He loves fruits and vegetables especially. On each page the with the recipes the author lists the important nutritional values of the main ingredient as well as how many portions can be frozen. |
