How do different racial and ethnic groups inscribe their race on a landscape and how does that landscape maintain those inscriptions? The essays look at everything from southern plantation houses, Chinese Immigrants in San Francisco, old postcards portraying Mexican homes, and even dog parks in Chicago.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-03-15 00:00:00 Allan Rose Excellent collection that shows the ways in which our landscapes are racialized. Focusing on the US, the chapters show how street names, urban planning and statues are all white-centric and thus act to further discriminate against minorities.
