Review # 1 was written on 2010-09-17 00:00:00 Brian Nelson Even though the editors (I suppose) have inserted a warning that this is a "print-on-demand" book, my copy is not one of those and does not have the same ISBN. Mine is from the first printing and even though it is quite a lovely paperback, it also has a fine dust jacket. I have made several quilts from this book, but my favorite by far is "Lavender Patch," a fabulous small quilt that is photographed beautifully in the book. If you follow this mother/daughter team's instructions, your quilt will turn out looking very much as theirs did--or you can ignore their colorways and produce a quilt uniquely your own. All in all, it is a delightful book for both beginning and experienced quilters! |
