Review # 2 was written on 2016-12-05 00:00:00 Velma Stafford Through Eirik Johnson's lens I saw familiar scenes in a different light. I grew up in these same wet woods and never knew my family lived in poverty until I moved away. Now, years later, these photographs gave me a sense of loneliness and desolation I had not felt since my travels in third world countries. It did not surprise me, then, when I learned that Eirik had lived in Peru. My only consolation is my genuine optimistic belief that Nature will have the last say.
