Review # 1 was written on 2016-09-15 00:00:00 Stanley Bowers This book held my attention fairly well, aided by its brevity. I did really enjoy the portion on John Muir and Clarence King. The other parts not as much. The author uses a lot of quotes which I enjoyed. If nothing else, this book has really encouraged me to read some of John Muirs writing after getting a good sample. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-09-29 00:00:00 Scot Mcconachie A great collection of essays, a fundamental introduction to the anthropological developments of the romantic idea of "volksgeist". |
