Review # 1 was written on 2020-07-23 00:00:00 Dick Griebel Well, THESE guys are real cute, except when they're just born, but their book was TOUGH. And you know why? Because fact books have a lot of words and THAT is so TIME CONSUMING! But the good part is that this one has real great pictures of CUTE SQUIRRELS!! So when you get tired of reading you can just look at these guys. They sleep under the snow and they hibernate like bears. So I guess that's why bears don't eat them. The only part where they're not cute is when they're born. They're all red and slimy like big slugs. But then they get hair and they look all normal. The book said that these squirrels live in Canada, but we're close to Canada, so maybe they come down to Vermont, too. They sure LOOK familiar. A good one.

Review # 2 was written on 2020-04-30 00:00:00 William Austin This is a cute little book that takes readers on a trip through the lifespan of a ground squirrel from birth through one year. Great pictures accompany the short text that provides enough information on the ground squirrel without it being too much information for the youngest readers.
