Review # 1 was written on 2011-06-21 00:00:00 Apostolos Voutsas This book would be great for a read aloud or a center activity in the classroom. As a read aloud it would be a good way to introduce real-life context into how to sort things and I think that the discussion could be pushed afterwards into where else in life do children see things sorted. As a center I would have the children read the book and then do a sort of candy, crayons, pencils, by color, shape, and size. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-11-24 00:00:00 Jennifer Gelinas (Non Fiction) This book uses real world math concepts with exciting displays. It uses colorful objecs that make it pleasent and attractive to children. It incorporates simple counting that progresses to the grouping, and place value. This book can be used for grades pre k through second grade depending on the level of learning that the students are working on. |
