This has a lot of really good information to go through. I am so sick of hearing people tell me they eat meat for the protein they need to exercise or the energy they need to just go through their daily lives. I think this book and the countless vegetarian and vegan world-class athletes prove this is a complete myth that is perpetuated through a lazy society that chooses to not understand food and it's role.

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I had hoped to. I am big into softball and thought that I would connect with the book more because of it; however I felt that the plot was weak and predictable. You knew from reading the synopsis on the back how the book would end. I felt that there could have been more depth to it. It was an enjoyable read if you don't want to really get moral out of it. Warnings: The main character, Kelly, is often disrespectful to her mother.
