I couldn't put it down, and when I did I found myself keen to get back to it. This is a true story of the rise and rise of a firm of Australian solicitors/powerbrokers and how one man almost brought the centuries old firm crumbling to its knees. The story behind the firm is fascinating, the years leading up to the inevitable crash. I think this is a very interesting read for Australian lawyers even if, like me, you've heard very little of this saga. Of course, if you have heard of the tale in the news, then you will understand the fasctination of this story.
