Review # 1 was written on 2010-07-28 00:00:00 Hani Mishael I guess the saying for this book would be to keep your enemies close but your "friends" closer. This is the first book that I've read by this particular author, and it was a pretty good read. There were parts of the story that weren't quite believable. It focuses on the lives of childhood best friends Sylvia and Dana. They've been friends since the second grade (or at least they put on the facade of friendship). Sylvia does the unthinkable when she initiates an affair with Dana's husband. As the old saying goes, "say way you get em same way you lose em." This book made me grateful to have the few true friends that I have. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-08-26 00:00:00 Jesus Rios Sylvia, Jonathan and Dana. Two best friends in love with one man. One friend is married to him and the other works for him. I was really surprised how this story touched me emotionally. I didn't expect to feel any sympathy for the other woman, but the way Brenda Hampton intertwined these characters, you can't help but to try on the other person's shoes. |
