Review # 1 was written on 2019-11-14 00:00:00 Tween Turbo These traveller stories were mostly very different from other folktales I have read. I especially loved the final story about the enchanted cooking pot, that one day collected food, and the next day collected money (from a miser) for the traveller family that found it. "White Pet" bore a passing similarity to "The Musicians of Bremen." After each story, the author includes a note about when it was recorded, since all of the stories were told orally and transcribed for this book. The author also included a couple of essays about the travellers before the stories. This book is a treasure for folklorists studying tales of the Great Britain.
