Review # 1 was written on 2020-06-28 00:00:00 Jack Harrison Amazing account of these heroic women who pioneered Religious Life in the Church of England. Leaving the (stifling) comfort of their often Middle to Upper Class homes they chose to serve the poor in ways never seen before. They had no existing Anglican Religious Life to draw on, often faced persecution and abuse and yet accomplished an enormous amount of work. Yet the church they served didn't understand them - and has forgotten their contribution to modern society. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-11-21 00:00:00 Terry Odom Excellent overview and a handy reference book. |
