Review # 1 was written on 2013-10-01 00:00:00 Lois Cartier I know Peter Zachar personally. He is one of the few college professors I've ever had who I actually admire intellectually. He is a brilliant man. His brilliance shines through in this book. The editor didn't do a great job. He argues convincingly that psychology is indispensable as a level of analysis of the human condition, and cannot be completely replaced by a strictly physiological psychiatry.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-11-01 00:00:00 Ole Barre I was lucky enough to have Dr. Ray as a professor and this was required reading, but I didn't get to the year, so I read it on the trip home for the summer. It makes a big difference when combined with her teaching style. I was especially interested in her analysis of Scottish heritage in combination with Southern heritage.
