The two friends, Mouse and Mole decide to start a vegetable garden in the fall. They learn and experience many things when it comes to caring for a garden and waiting for the end results. This story is focused around all four seasons and what happens to the vegetable and what we can do in our free time outdoors. This book would be great to give to a child who wants to start growing their own vegetables or this book could be shared to help explain what happens during the different seasons. Mouse and Mole can really help show how patience is the key when caring for plants.

A good book to introduce a garden to young kids, and some of the things that happen in it ( a tiny intro to scientific things about soil, light, photosynthesis and also flowers and bees)...all sidebars while the story is going on.
