I was one of the pioneer team who developed the first commercial Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Thailand namely KSC during 1995-2000. The book was first published in 1996 while the Internet was still young. I read this book and another book entitled Presenting Digital Cash and was very exciting with the concept. I led the team to partner with Krung Thai Bank to co-develop the first online credit card payment in Thailand for our first Internet Shopping Mall in Thailand namely GoldSite.com. We used Triple DES mechanism to encrypt our e-commerce transactions over the Internet. At that time, people still had questions about security, but today it has become normal to pay and transfer money over the Internet. I considered points collection and redemption that have been used as a Customer Relationship Management tool until today a kind of digital money as well.
