Review # 1 was written on 2008-09-02 00:00:00 Robert Cyr I stole this textbook from a roommate and read it cover to cover. It gave a wonderfully detailed history of this type of music and its many off-chutes. I found it extremely entertaining while reading it, but forgot almost everything I read the second I finished. And sadly I still can't distinguish bop, from cool, from third stream, from hard bop.
