Review # 1 was written on 2012-04-05 00:00:00 Hd Coelho This book is great for those who want to be a veterinarian, zoologist, or anyone who wants to work with animals. This book describes a mammal, like a bat, and how it lives, what it does, and what it eats and things like that. It is a very interesting book to read if someone likes or is interested in animals. This book is basically the Animal Channel put into words and in your hands. Instead of a boring voice talking about different animals, you can read at your pace and find it interesting on your own. The author basically talks to people who likes animals and the book is the author's way of talking to her audience. The author might have considered younger readers because although there are many pages to the book, the words are easy to understand unlike other informative books. Not all of the words are easy to understand, but the author provided definitions to the words in the book to make sure the readers can keep up with what she is saying. Clutton-Brock also provided pictures of the animals so when she describes an animal you can see what parts of the animal she is describing. The different parts of the animal is also labeled in order to make the parts easier to spot. This book is overall good for research on different animals and good for young readers to have an interest if they have thought of working with animals. Mammals does not provide information in the basic house pet, but information on animals that you do not see often around Moreno Valley. I thought this book was interesting because I learned many different pieces of information on many different types of mammals.
