Review # 1 was written on 2010-06-25 00:00:00 Lisa Blackman The first two chapters were excellent, then it sort of dropped off, I thought. But it might also just be that I was less interested in the later developments of sentimental literature anyhow.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-05-06 00:00:00 James Carlson Reading this book is akin to taking a graduate level course in Montaigne. And if you love Montaigne like so many of us do, it is a course well-worth enjoying. Happy reading!
