Review # 1 was written on 2012-05-06 00:00:00 Dean Mottershead The Goodreads blurb says: "Reading this kind of writing, however, may not come easily in a culture where poetry is treated as property of a special class. It is this barrier that Bob Perelman seeks to break down in this fascinating and comprehensive account of the language writing movement." I laughed. As if reading this kind of writing would come easily to anyone. Having said that Perelman's book provides a good description and defence of a type of writing that needs both. |
