I know this is an important book to read to understand audience studies but I really really hate how Janet Staiger writes. I mean it's obvious that she knows what she's talking about and what she's saying is fundamentally interesting but I always find it a struggle to get through to the good bits. It shouldn't be this hard to read film theory.

For the serious thinker who is not overtired. I may try it again one day.
