Review # 1 was written on 2021-01-15 00:00:00 Juanito Sevilla This book is an assessment of the opinions of philosophers in the analytical tradition. After defining what is understood by “miracle” the authors go on to ask questions about the term from historical, scientific and epistemological perspectives. The chapters are brief and open with a series of questions which are cumulative and the whole process concludes with a chapter entitled, Should Theists expect Miraculous Divine Intervention? They answer that “it would appear then that our discussion of miracles has left classical theists with a dilemma" (p. 117). |
