Review # 2 was written on 2019-01-11 00:00:00 Chris Williams In ''Blue's Checkup'', Blue is feeling nervous at the idea of having to go see Dr. Maya for her checkup, but after following the steps and being reassured by Dr. Kenny, Joe and her stuffed animals, Blue realizes that it wasn't so bad. Young readers and their parents will definitely enjoy this Blue's Clues book as it briefly, yet sufficiently describes what a doctor's appointment is, more specifically, the tests involved (blood pressure, height, weight, heartbeat and the occasional shot), and through wonderful illustrations and succinct sentences, shows that if you're somebody you trust during this time, then you shouldn't worry. Additionally, young readers might enjoy the part where Joe also has to get a shot and is afraid, given that it is somewhat of a twist.
