Review # 1 was written on 2012-06-24 00:00:00 Nina Schjnsby I had the good fortune to read this book while sitting in the author's Indiana farmhouse kitchen in July, and it brought even more depth and poignancy to an already lush and beautiful memoir of a Vermont childhood. It was lovely to see Liz's formative experiences and to understand how they shaped her as a writer and woman. Even if I didn't know Liz IRL, this would still have five stars for its vivid reconstructions of childhood innocence. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-03-01 00:00:00 Gregorio Vetol I really enjoyed this memoir of a young girl's experiences at a summer camp. What impressed me the most was her deep and obvious love for this place. Her descriptions were full of this love. |
