I love The Verve - they're my favourite band right now. I got this book for Christmas and read it in three days, though I easily could've done so in one (it's a little over 100 pages). The book concentrates mostly on lead singer Richard Ashcroft; to be honest I would've liked to have seen more on the other members, especially guitarist Nick McCabe. There are plenty of pictures (no complaints here) and quotes - including the quote that led the British press to dub him 'Mad Richard' (he stated that he believed that one day he would be able to fly; it wasn't until years later that he claimed that his statement was misunderstood). This is a decent look into one of - if not THE - best British band of the 90s. They just got back together - again - in 2007. I'm hoping they don't break up again anytime soon.
