Review # 1 was written on 2010-07-27 00:00:00 Darrell Bell Although the author sometimes contradicts her own stated sensibilities, this is an incredibly interesting and useful book - vital in Appalachian Studies, but also for cultural, political, and social studies as well.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-10-26 00:00:00 Oleg Feygin This is an amazing anthology -- it's well thumbed and a little beat up because it went with me everywhere for awhile. The poems are all immediate and consistently worth several reads. I'm sure I will find gems in this one for years to come.
