Review # 2 was written on 2011-12-30 00:00:00 Tillman Johnson A very comprehensive narrative of United States History. Quality attempts are made to include a wide range of "voices" to help convey the topic(s). Probably the most thorough coverage of any text currently on the market considering its breadth and depth. However, the text is not engaging for a high school AP US History class within a typical public high school; better for university level. It truly reads like a committee wrote and can feel sterile at times. After 12 years with this text my district has made the [wise] choice to make a new selection.
