Review # 1 was written on 2016-03-23 00:00:00 Andrew Halliday I learned of the heroism of the American Catholic Chaplains during World War II. This book gave me a real appreciation of just how much of a Mother the Church is to Her children by following them to the very heart of danger to care for their souls. Not only did the chaplains bring the Sacraments of the Church to the front lines (even jumping as paratroopers!), but also many of them actively exposed themselves to grave danger in order to help wounded soldiers.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-01-17 00:00:00 Anil Sharma Truly one of the best WW2 books I've read in quite some time. The author took great pains to research and present truly uplifting, and truly gut - wrenching stories of military chaplains (mainly catholic) that are largely forgotten today. May the Lord bless and keep all those who perished in his service in the second world war.
