This is the best introductory book on the Baha'i Faith that I have ever read. The clarity of the writing, the choice and sequencing of material presented, and the author's obvious deep understanding of the core concepts of the topic, result in a book that raises the bar for then entire genre of Baha'i introductory literature. Some ideas that I particularly appreciated seeing in the book were: 1. The complementary relationship between spirituality and systematization in the Baha'i community. 2. The metaphor of "the eye of oneness" to help explain the emphasis on unity while appreciating the full range of diversity found in the Baha'i community. 3. The matter-of-fact approach to such topics as the destructiveness of gossip and the emphasis that Baha'i communities are places where people are strongly discouraged from focusing on the moral faults of others. 4. The exclusion of any list of moral behaviors that Baha'i are expected to follow. This encourages the reader to infer such behaviors by developing an understanding of the core concepts of the book. 5. A clear focus on those concepts unique to the Baha'i Faith which helps explain why people may adopt this religion as part of their own unique process of spiritual development.

Matt Rogers, copastor of New Life Christian Fellowship at Virginia Tech, takes us through his own personal reflections and experiences that started the day of April 16th, 2007. The Virgina Tech tragedy IS still remembered and WILL never be forgotten. Thirty-two innocent people lost their lives that day before the shooter turned the gun on himself and took his own life. When mass losses of life like this happen, as with Sept 11th, 2001 and in other tragic events throughout the world, we all begin to ask the same questions. Where was God when this happened? How could a God that is Good let these things happen? Why didn't He prevent it? Can there be a God that is Good when there is so much evil in our world? The answers to these questions seldom satisfy. Take the journey with Matt Rogers in search of a God that is Good, regardless of when life isn't. This is a must read book for every Christian.
