Review # 1 was written on 2012-10-09 00:00:00 Masaaki Ando Brillant author. Clear, consise, accessible and poignant. She names things (eg patriarchy, racism, projection, minimization), relocates displaced concepts to their proper categories (eg don't call domestic violence a massacre to degender the assault and deflect attention from the real issue at hand). Very thought provoking without the usual muddling through academic speak. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-28 00:00:00 Glenn Smith Well worth reading if you are interested in Texas politics, the making of a remarkable (female) politician, and women's rights in general. Ann Richards was one amazing woman. |
