Jose Zuniga was in the army in the early 1990’s and names Soldier of the Year of the Sixth US Army when the issue of gays in the military was becoming a national debate brought on by Clinton’s promise to end the debate. Zuniga decides to come out of the closet at the 1993 March on Washington to give another face to the discriminatory policy. This is his story up tot he March and for the year following it and the effects of his coming out nationally. Good description of many aspects of the debate. Well written.

My partner and I just bought a house together. I don't want to do domestic partnership, but she keeps saying she won't be able to get FMLA when I have surgery and we won't be able to get mortgage insurance in case one of us kicks the bucket. So, I decided to get informed and read this book. There's tons of great information in it. Not done yet, and haven't decided yet what we're going to do...
