Review # 1 was written on 2014-12-21 00:00:00 Steven Duncan Well, exactly that, an introduction. Very general, very superficial, not very useful unless you know nothing about children, children rights, children care... |
Review # 2 was written on 2010-02-04 00:00:00 Michael Rivera This is a good intro into psychology. However, I felt that starting with the mechanics off the brain in the beginning made it rather intense and didn't help as much as I think the author intended. Some of the chapters mixed concepts that I didn't feel went together cohesive, so that became an issue, especially in later chapters. Most of the examples are relatable and well explained. The book is a good overview psychology, but I felt the heavy focus on neurobiology in the first handful of chapters set me back as a reader instead of getting me along. |
