Review # 1 was written on 2008-09-01 00:00:00 Mary Bernard This is a critical study and (partial) biography of Brittain, and it's fascinating, especially after reading the definitive biography this summer.

Review # 2 was written on 2020-03-01 00:00:00 Kevin Pruitt There isn't much mythology in this book as it's mostly the author tearing to shreds the work of Max Muller, someone he seems to have had a long-standing grudge with. It was dotted with some anthropological examples but not enough to make it an interesting read!
