Review # 1 was written on 2012-05-06 00:00:00 Richard Wegryn I think it was a good textbook overall and presented the information many of us need and use, even if we do not directly work in IT or web design and graphics. As a writer and publisher I use many of the techniques daily either in updating my sites, making announcements or formatting documents or advertisement campaigns. I couldn't give it a higher rating because the layout of the material is confusing at times. There are a number of screenshots type examples of correct coding and formatting, however because there wasn't a book CD of the material, it is of little help because you cannot copy and paste the info as examples, to a lab you need to create. Even though they do have a website which provides datafiles for some projects, not all are included. That was frustrating. |
Review # 2 was written on 2010-06-08 00:00:00 Chris Blaha Although this looks like a good book for beginners, it confuses more than it helps. Along with that, there are many typos and other instructions are just plain wrong to begin with. |
