This informational text was a WOW book for me because I did not want to put it down. I thought it was extremely interesting and informative. I was not as excited to read an informational text for this genre, but was pleasantly surprised by the excitement and detail of this book. "Bodies from the Ice: Melting Glaciers and the Recovery of the Past" is an informational book about frozen bodies found on mountains and in glaciers that hold secrets and give information about the past. Many of the bodies found were children that were sacrificed. I thought this section was extremely sad, but it was interesting to learn about this custom of the ancient times. This book was a WOW book for me because I could not stop reading, and found myself learning so much that I did not know. I think this could be a useful tool in teaching, and I would use this book in a fifth or sixth grade classroom. I would teach students about ancient history and peoples, and use this book as documentation and supplemental reading for my class. The pictures in this informational book are also useful, and a great teaching tool when discussing ancient times and people.

In the Non-Fiction book Bodies from the Ice by James M. Deem, to me the book was really good and I would give it a five out of five rating. In this book there were seven chapters and in each chapter there were different main characters and all of them either died by falling through glaciers or they were someone who looked for peoples bodies from years and years ago. The main conflict was people falling through the glaciers. In all seven chapters there were different settings in one chapter the setting is Northern Italy in another chapter is in the Andes. The main plot line was people finding dead bodies from a long long time ago. " Unfortunately, before the men and their twelve mountain guides were caught in an avalanche." These people died from a avalanche years and years later people found their bodies. I recommend this book to kids the ages eleven and up and even adults i think this because it shows a lot of pictures about dead people and its very graphic.
