Review # 1 was written on 2012-09-16 00:00:00 Mark Ayles Covers all the material well enough, but it's also very boring and repetitive. There were more than a few times where information from earlier chapters was simply restated as though the authors assumed the reader would forget a concept or term. There was a lot of trivial information that just served to lengthen the already boring chapters. Given the amount of actual information to parse through, and removed of all the BS, this book could be under 100 pages. I presume that's why there exists a "brief edition" to begin with, but it isn't even brief enough. But then who would use a less than 100 page textbook? The authors obviously know their audience (teachers who will make people read through this thing). |
