It also has modern day terms that teens and kids would use. Relevance/Relationship: Not only is it up-to-date, but the many pictures would definitely make looking up words more fun. Purpose: To offer yet another source to the students that may help to broaden their knowledge of vocabulary. Validity: American Heritage has been popular for years- for good reason. Format: Print Arrangement/Presentation: Every term is, of course, alphabetized but this version also has many visual representations as well.
