Review # 1 was written on 2015-08-27 00:00:00 Laurie Porter Simply the best treatise on traditional archery that I have ever read. Sigurslid captures the mysticism inherent in the art and provides a platform on which the ethical hunter can base his pursuits. The book is punctuated by very good poetry in addition to numerous essays. Not since Maurice Thompson's "The Witchery of Archery" has someone so perfectly described the allure and tremendous enchantment of shooting the traditional bow. |
Review # 2 was written on 2007-12-06 00:00:00 Pedro Agapay This has a little bit of everything -- history, anecdote, general info, and tips. Mostly it deals with the hardware of archery, with a little bit of advice for technique. Plenty of useful details, though only a few sections will be worth referencing. |
