Review # 1 was written on 2014-03-18 00:00:00 Steven Schwartz Book 7 in this series is just as good as the previous 6. Broken Rainbows covers the last few years of World War II and explores the lives of the inhabitants of a village whose men have gone off to war and how they coped, not only with raising their children, but working in munitions factories, surviving on rations, supporting each other, and in the latter years coping with the "invasion" of the American forces to their little village, and the relationships that then develop. I will be sorry when I have reached the end of the series as I am enjoying it so much.
